Staff accountant job description:

 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare federal and multistate returns for partnerships, individuals, trusts, corporations, and non-profits.  Job will mainly focus on multistate partnership returns for private equity clients.

• Research federal and state tax law to be able to summarize issues for clients and to understand different decisions which must be made in tax compliance.

• Prepare tax projections for clients.

• Respond to tax notices for clients.

• Design and preparation of spreadsheets to help analyze data and different tax options for clients.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting; Master of Science in Taxation also desirable.

• CPA or CPA candidate

• Tax work experience a plus

• CCH Pro FX or Axcess experience a plus

• Strong Excel Skills

• Strong communication and organizational skills
